We strive to create memorable experiences that highlight the authentic way of life, from the warmth of our homestay to the creative culinary journeys at our restaurant, and the natural, sustainable practices at our farm and artist residency. By doing so, we aim to contribute to the sustainable growth of Nepal’s tourism industry while preserving and promoting our cultural and natural heritage.
Api Saipal Group began with Api Saipal Treks in 1992, founded by my mother. Growing up immersed in a world where Japanese guests were a constant presence, I developed a deep connection to Nepal’s tourism industry. However, it wasn’t until I participated in a trekking guide course in 2002 that my path became clear: I wanted to dedicate my life to showcasing Nepal’s breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural diversity to the world.
After returning to Nepal in 2013, I rejuvenated our family business and began exploring the country, organizing treks and tours that reflect my passion for authentic experiences. In 2015, inspired by my travels and the desire to offer something unique, I transformed our family home into Api Saipal Homestay.
Here, guests from over 80 countries experience the warmth and hospitality that my mother and I have cultivated.
The idea for Site Restaurant and Bar in Pokhara was born during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, driven by my love for culinary arts and a desire to create a dining experience that was both local and global.
The restaurant, with its own farm, became a place where food, culture, and nature converge.
To meet the growing demand for fresh produce at Site Restaurant, I established Purnata Farm and Artist Residency in 2022. This farm not only supplies our restaurant with fresh, natural ingredients but also serves as a space for artists from around the world to find inspiration and create.
Today, the Api Saipal Group continues to grow with new projects like the upcoming Tribeni River Island Resort in Pokhara, where we aim to offer a unique glamping experience amidst nature.
